Tofu Matar Masala
Ingredients
250g Firm Tofu (cubed), ¾ cup Green Peas, 1 Onion, 2 Tomatoes (pureed), Ginger-Garlic paste, Cashew paste, Indian Spices, Kasuri Methi.
Method
- Sauté ginger, garlic, and onions until brown. Add tomato puree and cashew paste.
- Cook spices until oil separates. Add water and peas; simmer for 5 mins.
- Gently fold in tofu cubes and Kasuri Methi. Serve hot.
Tofu Stuffed Paratha
Ingredients
Grated Tofu, Wheat/Ragi Flour, Chopped Onions, Green Chillies, Fresh Coriander, Garam Masala, Ghee.
Method
- Knead a soft dough. Mix grated tofu with onions, chillies, and dry spices.
- Stuff the tofu mixture inside a dough ball and roll it gently.
- Cook on a hot tawa with ghee until crisp and golden brown.
Thai Tofu Satay
Ingredients
Firm Tofu Cubes, Peanut Butter, Soy Sauce, Lemon Juice, Chilli Flakes, Garlic Paste, Brown Sugar, Sesame Seeds.
Method
- Whisk peanut butter, soy sauce, lemon, sugar, and chilli into a marinade.
- Coat tofu generously and thread onto skewers.
- Grill on medium heat until edges are caramelized. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Restaurant Style Chilli Tofu
Ingredients
Tofu Cubes, Capsicum, Onion, Chopped Garlic, Dark Soy Sauce, Chilli Sauce, Vinegar, Spring Onions.
Method
- Toss tofu lightly in cornflour and shallow fry until crisp.
- Sauté garlic, onions, and capsicum on high heat. Add sauces and vinegar.
- Toss the fried tofu in the sauce and garnish with spring onions.
Dry Chilli Tofu
Ingredients
Firm Tofu, Minced Garlic, Green Chillies, Soy Sauce, Vinegar, Black Pepper, Fresh Coriander.
Method
- Shallow fry the tofu until a light crust forms. Set aside.
- In a wok, flash-fry garlic and chillies. Pour in soy sauce and vinegar.
- Reduce the sauce slightly, add tofu back in, and toss until coated.
Stir Fried Tofu
Ingredients
Tofu Cubes, Mixed Veggies (Broccoli, Bell Peppers, Zucchini), Soy Sauce, Kalonji (Nigella seeds), Sesame Oil.
Method
- Stir fry the vegetables quickly on very high heat to retain crunch.
- Add tofu cubes and soy sauce, tossing gently to prevent breaking.
- Finish with a sprinkle of toasted kalonji seeds for an earthy flavor.
Vegan Tofu Omelette
Ingredients
150g Crumbled Tofu, 1 Cup Besan (Gram Flour), Turmeric, Coconut Milk, Chopped Onions, Tomatoes, Mushrooms.
Method
- Blend besan, turmeric, coconut milk, and tofu into a smooth batter.
- Pour onto a hot tawa and spread into a disc. Top with chopped veggies.
- Cook until the underside is golden brown, fold in half, and serve hot.
Tofu Steak
Ingredients
Thick Tofu Slabs, Olive Oil, Minced Garlic, Black Pepper, Fresh Herbs (Rosemary/Thyme).
Method
- Marinate the thick tofu slabs in olive oil, garlic, pepper, and herbs.
- Heat a grill pan and sear the tofu on both sides until a dark crust forms.
- Serve immediately alongside grilled vegetables or mashed potatoes.
